Lost Peripherals Gaming 5 - 3 Just 4 Fame

Overview: 3 FFW's (BOSS, eXpertise, Technical Difficulties) & 2 upsets (CLFG > Mobility & Antares > Owned in Seconds)

Round 2 (cp_follower):

Upper Bracket:

#1 BOSS vs. #16 Lost Peripherals Gaming

Will BOSS lose to LPG?  Can BOSS lose?  I mean have you looked at their team?

BOSS 5 - 0 Lost Peripherals Gaming

Boss 5 - 1 Lost Peripherals Gaming

#2 Treason vs. #18 CLFG

Treason will be able to take TF2F's best, but the final score will be closer than the rankings indicate.  Treason's Platinum (soldier) will be the driving force on mid, plowing through CLFG like a fat man eating pancakes with bacon.   If CLFG's Chro (demoman) can consistently stop Platinum's advances with well placed sticky traps, then CLFG will have a chance to win this match.  Neither team's scouts stand out above the other, so I believe this match will come down to which heavy classes can do more fragging.  In this respect, Treason will come out on top.

Treason 5 - 3 CLFG

CLFG 5 - 4 Treason

#3 eXpertise vs. #9 Helix

eXpertise's scouts elijagreen and giggly will likely make short work of the Helix team on middle, paving the way for an eXpertise victory.  The Helix roster has so many new additions for the post season that I doubt their teamwork will be up to par against a very solid eXpertise team.  Even if Helix plays BloodSire, they won't have the coordination to overcome one of the best teams in CEVO Free.

eXpertise 5 - 2 Helix

eXpertise 5 - 4 Helix (with BloodSire)

eXpertise 5 - 0 Helix

#4 Rage and Terror vs. #14 StyleFlairExtraordinaire [MOTW Upper Bracket]

This is the match of the week.  The great Rage and Terror team vs. DL, Jaeger, Lopert, and some other guys (you know its true).  Will the Cevo-P help be enough for StyleFlair to overtake R&T?  I doubt it.  The team blackbanjo has put together will have superior coordination throughout the match, but that doesn't mean the high level players on StyleFlair will just sit back and roll over.  At mid, watch for sniper battles between DL and lazyeye to be a key part of the mid fight.  Whoever can out snipe will bring their team to a mid victory.  Just winning mid doesn't win you the round on follower.  I expect the StyleFlair team to fail at least one or two pushes onto the second point, letting R&T come back and sweep the round.  This will be a fast paced match, with teams taking rolls and receiving them equally.  I expect an overtime round and m0lk to step his game up as soldier to take on Jaeger.

Rage and Terror 5 - 4 StyleFlairExtraordinare

Rage and Terror 5 - 4 StyleFlairExtraordinare   [yeaaaa, I got two.]

#5 Bukkake Baptism vs. #13 tribune

While tribune might be the only team to beat Treason this season, I don't think it indicates the true strength of their team.  Bukkake Baptism has about the same skill level as tribune, and that will make for an interesting match.  Watch for BB's kaytee to snipe on middle, getting quite a few key picks if she's on with the snipes.  Dropping a scout for a sniper might cost BB in the long run though, and I expect tribune to try and make use of that advantage with some good scout flanking.

Bukkake Baptism 5 - 2 tribune

tribune 5 - 2 Bukkake Baptism

#7 Exultance vs. #11 Technical Difficulties

The coordination Exultance will have on follower is going to be overwhelming for the Technical Difficulties crew.  Exultance will drop a scout for a sniper, filling that position will most likely be Killing in the Name.  I expect to see kritz on Exultance's side, and a scrambling disorganized TD will get pushed back to last easily.  Watch out for strange classes being used by Exultance, such as pyro, heavy, and maybe a spy.

Exultance 5 - 1 Technical Difficulties

Technical Difficulties 5 - 4 Exultance

#8 Harmonic vs. #12 KINGS OF BONGO

My match so I won't predict, instead the terribles' volt will:

terrible ! volt: Two teams here that are starting to impress me in matches and scrims. This one is kind of dependant on what kind of roster Harmonic manages to pull together, and if the players will be able to play their main classes. The two players that stand out most on these two teams are Bongo's DDL and Harmonic's mesr; if DDL manages to get important picks as sniper, the only way Harmonic stands a chance is if mesr's play can make up for it. Unfortunately for the Bongos, I think Harmonic should be able to keep their sniper under wraps for the most part and take away the win.

Harmonic [5-3] Bongos

Bongos 5 - 3 Harmonic

#10 Crack Clan AM-NA vs. #27 Antares

Both of these teams had roster changes before the playoffs, and it will be very interesting to see how those changes reflect on the teams in this match. Crack Clan picked up djfivenine (scout) and Antares basically redid their roster.   With Antares captained now by the infamous troll "muscles_marinara" and picking up several players who were shunned by the TF2 community for hacking (accusations and otherwise), this team is looking to prove the community wrong by coming out as close to the top as possible.  Crack Clan has been a solid team throughout the season, but will they be as motivated as the Antares crew to win?  After coming off a big upset win, Antares will have the energy to take this match from a slightly disorganized Crack Clan.  Players to watch for this match will be Crack Clan's scouts slipz and djfivenine and Antares' demoman celes and scout w1rex.

Antares 5 - 4 Crack Clan

Antares 5 - 4 Crack Clan     [yeaaaaaa, I got one.]

Lower Bracket:

#6 Owned in Seconds vs. #28 Team Tactics

Owned in Seconds won't have any trouble demolishing Team Tactics.  If you want to watch Hannah Montana do something better than her atrocious singing and dancing, watch him/her play demoman for Owned in Seconds, and literally own people in seconds.  Also OiS's gravegun might be able to play a decent game of TF2 if he isn't whining the whole time.

Owned in Seconds 5 - 0 Team Tactics

#15 Mobility vs. #17 Just4Fame [MOTW Lower Bracket]

When two teams who rely more on deathmatch ability than teamwork play, the better heavy classes win.  Mobility has better heavy classes, especially in soldier seanbsly.  Will that be enough to stop harsh scout flanks by Just4Fame's sully?  I think so.  Alternatively, I have no idea what I am talking about.  So why not MOTW?   Apparently I have two seans mixed up, and sully has since left TF2. This match should be good, I mean just look at how close they are in the rankings.

Mobility 2 - 1 Just4Fame

Just4Fame 5 - 3 Mobility

#19 #Team vs. #24 Epidemic - cheap knockoff

These are both solid teams who, on good days, can have excellent coordination and teamwork.   #Team's cheap (demoman) will be the deciding factor for his team.  With solid frags and good aggression, #Team will have to be able to keep up with their demoman if they want to succeed.  Epidemic has a strong scout in fayth, but their other starting scout and strat caller Rostabosta is away on vacation.  Both teams will likely use kritz at least once during this match, calling for some interesting strategy on both sides in order to adapt accordingly.

#Team 5 - 2 Epidemic

Epidemic 5 - 1 #Team   Bulldozer the next time you feel like ruining my preds, at least give me a heads up.

#20 Clan Shears vs. # 23 RageQuit TF2

In the first week of CEVO, RageQuit lost to Shears 5-1.  The same thing will happen this time around.

Clan Shears 5 -1 RageQuit TF2

Clan Shears 5 - 0 RageQuit TF2

#21 #pound vs. #22 Morphic Gaming

Will Morphic Gaming (formerly Hello Kitty Island Adventure :3) show up this week?  Who knows?!!? If they do this match will be a good one, with Morphic's WooD (demoman) and Neoviper (scout) at the forefront.  #pound's justin (scout/sniper) will be their only saving grace, keeping them alive at middle with key snipes.  One man can't carry a whole team, and Morphic's scouts will be on justin's ass the whole night.  The score will be low.

Morphic Gaming 3 - 1 #pound

#pound FFW

#25 butt town vs. #26 Fatal Universal

Fatal Universal will repeat their previous 5 - 1 victory over butt town.  Those poor butts.

Fatal Universal 5 - 1 butt town

Fatal Universal 5 - 3 butt town

#29 No Questions Asked vs. #30 DJedi

DJedi used to be a good team, but something happened to their roster along the way leaving the core players to pick up the pieces for the team.  NQA has been around just as long, but had previously never been on the same level.  Will polar and wilson be able to pull DJedi through this?  Will they even show up to the match?  NQA might be a weaker team in the playoffs, but they will certainly put up a fight against the more experienced core on DJedi.

DJedi 5 - 2 No Questions Asked

No Questions Asked FFW

#31 SHOCK vs. #32 Duck Factory

Although I don't know how either of these teams made it into the playoffs, it is hard to predict this match.  Both of them are 'approximately' equal in terms of skill level, so this might actually be interesting.  I have to wonder if Duck Factory will even show up to this match after the FFL to BOSS, though its understandable why they might not want to play the BOSS team.  At least SHOCK played their match vs. Treason.

SHOCK 5 - 3 Duck Factory (if they show up)

Duck Factory 5 - 0 SHOCK

Side note:  What the **** happened to shoutcasts?  I haven't seen a TF2 cast actually happen for the past 3-4 weeks.

C'mon now pwnage.tv, tgbf.tv, and e-rev.tv.  Its playoffs, step it up.  Don't just wait for the finals, there are good matches every week.
