Hey gang, here are my power rankings after 5 weeks of TWL Season 4 qualifiers. There are only 2 weeks left, and there still are over 20 teams battling for 12 spots in the coveted Division I, the top division in TWL for Season 4.
Here’s my opinion on the top 12 teams in TWL based on their records, their strength of schedule, and how much money they send me through paypal.
These rankings are unofficial and meant to spark conversation and debate. So enjoy!
1. eXpertise – (4-0-1) – LW: 2 – (Next Week: BONGOs-9th) No idea if they were just messing around with mathackers or playing serious…but a 2 heavies setup going to pt 5 in fastlane? Really? A 6-0 win is a 6-0 win. You can’t argue with that dominance AGAIN.
2. Kryptic Gaming – (5-0) – LW: 4 – (Next Week: terribles-3rd).Call it an upset? Sure, why not. Call that turtling in the 2nd half? Sure, why not. But a win is a win is a win. And they took down Rage and Terror when no one gave them a chance. This is the second team Kryptic beat who were “locks” in D1 in the beginning of the season. These guys are the real deal here, and they keep moving up on my rankings by beating GOOD teams.
3. Terribles – (5-0) – LW: 3 – (Next week: Kryptic-2nd). I hate putting them in 3rd, because I know they deserve being in first after being in the championship game last season and coming back with 4 straight wins (and one forfeit, if played, would have explained a lot). These guys deserve to be in 1st to tell you the truth. But I just wanted to pour some gas into the fire for the match vs Kryptic.
4. Rage – (4-1) – LW: 1 – (Next week: ionic-NR) Rage definitely woke up in the 2nd half of that match. But it definitely wasn’t enough against the 2nd ranked Kryptic. Definitely still a lock for D1, but not as untouchable as we thought they were. Let’s see if they will shake off that loss and roll through ionic next week.
5. You're my wonderwall ps litany sucks – (3-1) - LW: 6 – (Next week: uBer-NR) Skill wise, no doubt this is the best team in the league right now. But you gotta question how much effort they are putting into each game and again, if they’re going to stick around when CEVO S4 starts.
6. YoFa – (4-1) – LW: 5 – (nQa-NR) Forfeit win vs uber really doesn’t do anything for their ranks. And with their leader Bruce posting a LF team thread on gotfrag, you wondering how long YoFa is going to stick around TWL.
7. Truwar – (4-1) – LW: 7 – (Ginger Kids-10th) No idea how good (or bad) reverse harem is, so not sure if I should be moving these guys up or down after a 4-1 win. Either way, these guys should be a lock in D1. A big test against Ginger Kids next Monday. First challenge since the terribles.
8. Snow Burrrs – (4-1) – LW:8 – (ATF-11th) An easy roll of the UberMelons. Burrs haven’t been challenged since that loss to expertise. I can’t get a good feel for them, and playing ATF next week, I probably still won’t get a good feel for them.
9. BONGO – (4-1) LW: NR – (eXpertise-1st) Beat ploop 6-0 and ready to make a run at a D1 spot. Playing against the #1 ranked team in the league will definitely show a lot.
10. Ginger Kids – (3-0) LW: NR – (Truwar-7th) These guys are a really good group of guys with a lot of skill. They will need to win out the next 2 weeks to even have a chance to make Division 1. But three of the dudes used to be in the championship OSB team from last season. So watch out!
11. ATF – (4-1) – LW: 10 – (Snowbears-8th) I said last week that their match vs terribles will tell me a lot about this team. And losing 0-6 definitely told me a lot. These guys will most likely take another loss next week against SBU and then have to fight for their D1 lives in the last week. Just my prediction.
12. Crack Clan – (3-2) LW: NR –(epidemic-NR) Told you these guys are coming up. They’re going to get another easy team next week. And with a 4-2 record, these guys are right in line for a D1 spot.
Ionic – (4-1) – LW: 11 – Yes, these guys are 4-1. But giving up 5 points to Comrades?! Really?! No disrespect to Comrades, but they’re not D1 material, and they almost beat Ionic. NOT. Impressed.

TLDR: More depth for each team. Put how the team plays, or what to watch out for player-wise. Ask around if you're not sure.
Still a good read.
