I dont know whether to attribute this to an admin decision or just improperdancing's incessant complaining and ranting (<3 u bro) but all the playoff brackets for TWL have been changed to a more... standard one.
Now, instead of an epic fight between GGG and c.h.a.r.l.e.s. in the second round, they both have a chance at getting to the finals.
You can take a look at the brackets and read Prince's thread.
Note that all first round pairings have stayed, but their order in the brackets have changed, so all my predictions hold (big congrats to GGG beating what! on freight and granary. GG guys). Good luck to all the teams playing this week.

I've always held the opinion that if nobody bitches, nothing gets done.
I've only known you from your "active" posting on the subject here and in some other places. As roughly 6 month old baby to TF2 comp. scene…I think you've done more with your voice than one could shake a stick out. Most people do just complain without substance…and worse without alternatives or questions to consider that support such complaints.
Any person(s) involved with organization/logistics/planning etc. for a large group of people is incumbent to accountability. Thanks for applying that pressure and letting people know that with descent (relatively) candor speech, things can progress.
Either graciously accept the food on the table or BYOB w/ undeniably funny jokes.
Well, if I was going to pull shit from anywhere, the ass would be the obvious place to start.
actually GGG beat what! on freight, granary, and freight ;)
So a map that no one wanted (and in fact made various forum threads to try to remove, although of course the admins never responded) magically makes it into the rotation and you don't think someone was sucking some dick to make it happen?
So you're saying that a terrible map in an otherwise solid rotation is a dumb thing to complain about, and it's not okay to question how it somehow ended up in the rotation despite the fact that clearly no one liked it? And complaining about poor scheduling is a bad thing as well? Or complaining about how the playoff seedings were completely screwed up? Or how the admins didn't respond to questions or problems on the forums?
What exactly are we allowed to complain about if not serious issues like the ones above that can totally tank a league? I guess you'd prefer we complain about the configs or something.
As far as CEVO goes, the divisions in A were unbalanced, but how were they supposed to know that until we actually started playing? Teams picked their own divisions as I recall, and that problem has been rectified going into this season (where each division is singular), so there's not really any reason to harp about it now.
And as I recall, the CEVO team admitted less teams from the weaker east division into the CEVO-A playoffs anyway, which more or less solved the problem.
As far as scheduling goes, I've never played in a league where it was fucked up as bad as TWL's scheduling was this season. Even the guys who run UGC can figure out how to schedule matches in a competent manner, and that league gets no respect at all.
Right, exactly, that isn't true.
There are plenty of stuff to complain about with twl, yet you pick the dumbest stuff to complain about. No matter what league you play in, the scheduling will be fucked up for one team or another.
and I'm surised you have nothing to say about cevo, having two divisions with such a huge skill gap and population gap really didn't work out for cevo-a
I really couldn't care less that I didn't get to be an admin. Only reason I even brought it up was because people were saying that whole, "If you're gonna complain so much, why didn't you sign up?"
And the reason I wrote an article about TWL was because TWL has been doing stupid things all year. The first was the admins picking Indulge because they were friends with VilePickle even though Indulge is an awful map and no one wanted to play it. Seriously, the only people that defended it were the admins and Pickle himself. Everyone else wanted to play a real map.
Then there was the awful scheduling that caused teams in each division to play completely unbalanced scheduling. This was largely due to TWL's unnecessary and baffling decision to give teams two weeks to play each match, which completely screws up the Swiss pairing and makes using Swiss pairing (which is otherwise a pretty solid scheduling system) at all completely pointless.
There was also the lack of admin support when players had problems. I saw several times all season when people posted for help on the forums and no one responded for several days. That, to me, is pretty unacceptable.
And then, to polish it all off, there was this ridiculous playoff scheduling fiasco. I wouldn't have thought it possible to screw up simple playoff bracketing, but they somehow did.
As far as other leagues go, I criticized several aspects of XPL in the first article I wrote about it. Unlike the TWL people, though, Hawkeye actually listened to my criticisms and, had XPL not folded, I'm sure he would have tried to implement some of them in future seasons. I would have written a long diatribe about XPL after we found out the guy who runs the league was a fraud, but Hawkeye took care of that, so there was really no need.
I've criticized ESEA plenty as well for their obvious uncaring support of TF2, but by and large I enjoy playing in ESEA. They just need to figure out a way to keep matches played even when there is an update, because it's annoying when a week of planning is thrown out because Valve added Polish language support five minutes before your match.
As far as CEVO goes, I haven't really had a lot to complain about. CEVO runs a pretty tight ship. If they start making stupid decisions constantly, you can bet I'll get on their case about it, but until that happens I've really got nothing to bitch about.
You can try to brush off my criticisms however you want, but the fact is that TWL's admins this season were a joke. Hell, Prince even admitted as much in his recent post on the TWL forums.
Also, you sound mad.
You can't make yourself look smarter, when the fact still remains that you made something up.
