Interview with eXult TF2

As of this evening, eXult TF2 is the number one team in ESEA-O Season 3.  They have beaten Kryptic Gaming, MoB Gaming, Overthrow, and most recently Zilla Gaming.  Considering their strong start to the season, I thought it reasonable to interview one of their players.

Hello xeLorate.  First and foremost, what is your starting roster?

Currently our roster consists of s/x and Breeze on scout, Mister Fister, Warped, and Ohnoes on soldier, myself on demo, and Jack Frost on Medic.

eXult's last match ended with a 5-2 victory over Zilla Gaming on cp_follower.  As the winners of CEVO's third season of TF2, zG is a relatively formidable opponent.  How did the match go against them, did the score represent the match, and what were the keys to your victory?

Well, the first time we played Zilla Gaming on cp_follower we lost 5-0 as this was the first day we played the map. From then on we decided to practice as hard as we could because we realized we had strong opponents to play on the map such as pure and zG. Our strategy was to practice the map as much as we could with a special line-up we formed after realizing the wideness of the map. We knew with s/x and breeze on scout we could put a lot of pressure on their team and keep the momentum and our soldier would slow us down because soldier is naturally a slow class. Ohnoes fortunately had pretty awesome sniping ability and we hoped he'd clear the way picking off key targets for us. Turns out everything worked as planned and we used our knowledge of the map against zG.

Your next two matches are against rSports TF2 and Strickland Propane (on cp_badlands).  Both teams are currently undefeated.  How is your team preparing and what do you expect of each of these matches?

Weeks ago badlands was our map, recently we haven't caught back up to that skill and we are stuggling to practice as much as we can with our busy schedules for these two matches. We have already played rSports on this map and did well against them a few weeks ago, but not Strickland Propane to my knowledge. I've seen Propane grow as a team and see them being a strong team to compete against in the weeks to come and I know that they will bring their game because I have known some of their players for a good amount of time. What's better than friendly competition?

Which team is the strongest team in the Central Conference?  Area 51?  doin work?  Is there any team, in either division, whose current record doesn't reflect their potential?

Well there's a few good teams in Central to watch out for as they grow as a team. Focal Point and eXpertise are both teams I would say fit this category and have a lot of potential. But the strongest teams in the Central confrence are definantely Area 51 and doin work. Area 51 has grown to be a very strong team I am personally worried about even without blackstar playing for them anymore. doin work and I have had our history.

What do you think of the Sniper's updated weapons (The Huntsman, The Razorback, and Jarate)?  The Spy's (The Dead Ringer, The Cloak and Dagger, and The Ambassador)?

All I want is the bow and arrow but watch out for famous spys like dl and Lopert to be headshoting people across the map with the ambassador.

Thank you for your time and good luck.

Stay tuned for more interviews with the top teams of ESEA TF2 Season 3.
