A top ten TF2 team ranking has not been put together for over a year. With the euros putting together their top ten, I have decided to put together a top 10 North America ranking.
With the season winding down, everyone who played through the season have a good idea of who should be in their top 10. I decided to ask the community fortress writers to give me their top 10 list, I also got a rep from every ESEA invite team and all the ESEA open teams nominated by the invite teams to contribute their top 10 list. Overall, I received 18 lists, which I feel like is a nice number and will show us pretty clearly who the public thinks should be in the rankings.

The points system is exactly the same as the EU rankings: a first place vote earns that team 10 points, 9 points are awarded for second place, and so on.
So without further adieu, the top ten TF2 teams in North America voted by their peers.

One thing I added was the highest and the lowest each team was ranked on the 18 lists, hopefully that provides some more information for you guys. But I promised to keep all the lists confidential.
Complexity, winners of the recent Alienware Tourney, took down 16 out of the 18 first place votes. One voter listed Evil Geniuses as first place and another voter listed Muscle Milk and Moolians as number 1. But it looks like Complexity is the clear number one team with Evil Geniuses as a clear number two.
Muscle Milk & Moolians have been played very well this season in ESEA Invite, holding a 1-1 record against coL, EG and Pand each. They were neck and neck with pandemic all through the rankings, but pulled away with a number one rank on a list while the best pandemic could do was 3rd place.
The third tier of this ranking includes the trio of blight, dynamic and loaded. Blight staying consistently around ranks 5 through 7 while Dynamic and Loaded bounced all around the rankings. In the end, blight ended on top of the third tier, but dynamic and loaded are only a few points behind.
eMazing Gaming is the most interesting team on the list. Not quite in the third tier with blight, dynamic and loaded, but clearly separating themselves from the other esea open teams.
Apocalypse Gaming, although not voted as high as eMg on most lists, were included on all 18 lists.
The 10th spot was fought by 3 teams, and Vicious Gaming pulled away in the end, their recent win against Hostile Faction could have put them over the top.
Well, I am not going to say this is as FAIR as you can do a ranking, but hey, its a top 10 ranking, so enjoy it guys.

if 17 out of 18 voted coL as number 1, then they get 170, plus the extra 7 from the guy who voted them 3rd.
for EG, though, since their lowest position is 2, they should have at least 162 pts because all 18 voted them 2nd… yet it says that their highest ranking was 1, which would give them another 10 pts on top of this 162… but its impossible that they could have been voted 1st by someone beacuse all 18 voted for either coL or MMM as number 1. yet they only have 160 in the article. that doesn't add up.
It is good to see ESEA and a couple other organizations help the top 4 all make it to Dallas.
If all 4 teams make it we are in store for some epic games

Pandemic may be above mmm but their scouts are so inconsistent. Some games they play as good as carnage and enigma and other games they just suck.
MMM scouts are consistent but not quite as good as justin and fanom when they are doing well. Stamjally needs to pick it up, bloodsire is outdoing him.
EG scouts need to pick it up too. Cyzer and syckness are being very average. Destro is being average too.
I think Pandemic will be the dark horse in these playoffs
But if they want to post their own list like cbear did, feel free to do that.
For the record, nobody, imo, rated their own team too high.
the personal reason why i didn't rank open teams over any invite teams was because every team that has gone from Open to Invite, apart from the first group in Season 2->3, has either finished in at most mediocirty amongst the big 4 (5 actually since Pandemic is here again) or just disbanded.
