The only active Highlander competition around Europe at the moment - the CommFT HL Tournament EU division - has reached the Upper Bracket finals. With the lower bracket stage reaching the quarter finals, there is still a long road ahead for most teams until they reach the Grand Final. But tonight, 1 team out of SNSD and Public Power have the chance to book their place in the final with the losers getting relegated to the Lower Bracket finals.
SNSD are the undisputed kings of Highlander with an ETF2L Gold medal coming (eventually) from Valve and they want to win this event to get more swag. The biggest hope left to stop TheSucker from filling his closet with signed Robin Walker t-shirts is the UGC 3rd placed team Public Power. The Russian community team made their way to the final by beating the likes of ETF2L Madmins, Chior Tai and Combat Folks. SNSD have certainly had a harder route, taking down UK’s finest community team, Quad Damage and knocking the Angry German Kids into the lower bracket.
The map tonight is the relatively unknown and untried competitive map that is koth_lakeside_final, playing a first to 4 rounds series. The match will go down at 2 PM EST.
