It's been a long and grueling battle for dominance, but we're only 2 weeks away from the close of the first-ever CommFT Highlander Tournament (and, based on how well this one went, the first of many more!). A lot's happened, so let's get up to speed.
Talk about upsets! Early favorites Oedipus and the Motherfuckers (catch their Strategy Series here) ran into a roadblock by the name of Kawaii Explosion. What happens when two top-level Highlander teams meet on the field of battle? Giblets. Kritz stickies and Spy-pick upsets! Soldiers flying through the air, dizzy with high-altitude thin air, weeping tears of joy at the sight of a vulnerable enemy Medic. Kawaii kicked Oedipus to the Lower brackets and stands poised to take on the winner of the lower bracket semi-finals: Oedipus vs Free Beavis.
Can Mustard and crew rally up to tackle the team that beat high profile teams such as Never Ready (2-0), Performance Enhanced (2-0), and the infamous Lonely Hearts (5-1)? Free Beavis is on a hot streak, and with the match set to go down this Friday (casting info via eXtv coming soon), you'll need to tune in to see these titans clash!
SNSD has cleaned house in the upper bracket taking their last three matches against superstar teams such as Angry German Kids (2-1), 8 Mates and the Ginger (5-0), and Public Power (4-0). With that kind of momentum, SNSD looks like they'll be hard to take down--and that's exactly what the winner of the last 3 lower bracket matches (8 Mates, Angry German, or Public Power) will have on their plate. All three teams bring the big guns, and the battle for lower bracket dominance has been stiff. Stay tuned for casting info on those matches!
Prizes
Did someone say prizes? I said prizes! I said and I meant it! Remember that CommFT is awarding $50 is MannCo Store items to the winning championship team in each conference.
