This double elimination tournament will determine who is the CEVO Season 8 Open Champion. Good old fashioned linear 5cp excitement awaits our teams on cp_gullywash_final1. The Upper Bracket contains teams that have not lost in playoff play. The Lower Bracket contains teams that must win or go home!

Upper Bracket

#1 Immortal 6 aka The Pharmacy (11-0) vs. #7 OKNerd TF2 Dating Service (9-2)

This contest determines who will be the Upper Bracket winner and move into the Championship match. Immortal 6 comes into the contest undefeated while the OKNerd TF2 Dating Service looks to avenge their previous loss on Gullywash (Week 6). This is the first contest between the two teams as Immortal 6 played the first half of the season in the CEVO-M division before it folded. OKNerd TF2 Dating Service was voted "best on the web" but can they be the best in this match?

This is the CEVO Match of the Week and will be casted by the eXtv crew. The match will take place at 12 midnight EST (9PM PST). Join us here: http://www.twitch.tv/eXtvEsports

Starting Lineup for Immortal 6:

Lower Bracket

Match One - ShortBus (8-3) vs. SuperiorPosterior (10-2)

Both teams advanced as recipients of a forfeit victory. This is the first match between the two teams who are looking to stave off elimination. SuperiorPosterior possesses a nearly flawless 5cp record (only loss on freight) and look to add it. ShortBus is no stranger to Gullywash as they were previously able to take down Sunday Funday.

Match Two - Lonely Hearts (7-3-1) vs. SWAG PANTALONES (9-3)

The Lonely Hearts are the favored team here despite their losing record on 5cp play (2-3-1). The Lonely Hearts will try and knock off the rust of their early season which contained five forfeit wins. Meanwhile, SWAG PANTALONES look to avenge their early season loss on Gullywash. They fell in defeat to the Get Burnt Son 4-5. After a tough first round against ShortBus, SWAG has won two straight and looks to continue their winning momentum.

I'm not a fan of perfect scores so I'm rooting for the underdog for the top bracket and I'm really excited to see how it plays out.

Didn't know if it was right to mention D.Morgan. I will go ahead and list the name in the future articles.
