This double elimination tournament will determine who is the CEVO Season 8 Open Champion. The Upper Bracket contains teams that have not lost in playoff play. The Lower Bracket contains teams that must win or go home!

Upper Bracket -

#1 Immortal 6 aka The Phamacy (10-0) vs. #5 Police InJustice (9-2)

Immortal 6 came out swinging to take the first round but then dropped the second. The contest ended in a 4-1 victory for Immortal 6 but not before some interesting battles. Both teams used a heavy and sniper at different times as the battle required solid death match play. Wejen (Police) equipped the Sydney Sleeper with impressive results. The Injustice Team felt the need to use such a weapon to combat the efficiency of both Beat and Spadez, two snipers for I6. Spadez had a rather impressive showing as he racked up 42 kills and a match high 3.56 kill/assists per death.

JJ, Injustice medic, was able to deploy more ubers (18 to 15) and dropped fewer (1 to 2) than the I6 medic, Metalsnake. Metalsnake did win the efficiency battle as he was able die less and recorded a better kill assist per death ratio (2.5 to 1.4). Wejen, team lead for Police, was intrigued by the different class combinations and would have like to kritz his heavy, Icosahedron, more. There is plenty of fight left in the Injustice as they are "looking forward to a rematch in the finals."

Box Score -

Round 1 - Immortal 6

Round 2 - Police Injustice

Round 3 - Immortal 6

Round 4 - Immortal 6

Round 5 - Immortal 6

Lower Bracket -

Match One - Soft Served (8-2) vs. ShortBus (7-3)

Destined favorites Soft Served failed to communicate with ShortBus a match time and date, so they will be going home. Proof once again that it does not matter who is favored if a team does not show.

Match Two - Bathtime with Ducky! (7-4) vs. Superior Posterior (9-2)

Another team that went down in defeat courtesy of forfeit was Bathtime with Ducky! Many CEVO teams are being given an easy pass by competition. The playoffs are not only about winning or going home but also about showing up or staying home.

Match Three - SWAG PANTALONES (8-3) vs. Seal Team 6 (7-3)

SWAG PANTALONES were able to take down Seal Team 6 by a score of 4-1. SWAG raced to a 3-0 score until Seal Team were able to score their first point of the match. The comeback was short lived as Swag sealed the victory and knocked out the Seal Team.

Round 4 - Seal Team 6

Round 5 - SWAG PANTALONES

Match Four - Lonely Hearts (6-3-1) vs. Magical Frolicking Unicorns (5-6)

MFU had a scheduling conflict and was unable to field a team thus giving the victory to the Lonely Hearts.
