The poll started to see a dive in the rate that people were responding around 3:30pm today so I decided to collect the data, crunch the numbers, and report back to the community on how you guys spoke. With this, TotalGamingLeague TF2 Season 5 is officially kicking off and taking Sign-Up's so please head over to our website and get your team registered for the 6v6 Open. Any changes with divisions/conferences will happen when I see what kinda teams I'm working with.
So the big ticket item: Maps
Preseason 1 - cp_well

The map vote resulted in a very close Top 4 of Freight, Coldfront, Yukon, Well in that order all separated by 4% points. Coming in fifth place was Dustbowl after I subtracted some trolling votes (shame on you for thinking I couldn't tell ;P). I think we have a solid line up of maps with the preseason giving a taste of new and old while the season has maps that are pretty much solid all around with varying level of issues spread across but nothing huge.
Weapon/Class Limits:
TGL will be implementing a full ban on the Natascha as the community members who voted ended up putting it down with a 68% majority, 10% didnt care, and only 9% said keep it as is. The rest voted to limit the Heavy to 1 per team which is something TGL will consider doing in the future and is looking for more input on.
As for the Engineer updates the Wrangler will be banned and everything else allowed for now. The engineer is also in a similar boat to the Heavy where TGL will be talking once our admin group can meet to discuss the limiting of certain classes to 1.
Match Rules:
TGL has a similar system to CEVO and ESEA where our matches are played in two 30 minute halves with a max score of 5 to win. The only difference is we will be placing the half time marker at 3 points instead of the normal 4. The reasoning behind this is that through forums and discussions we believe leaving 2 points rather than just a measly 1 needed in the 2nd half makes it a more viable portion of the game and more potentially competitive. I think it also makes sense to have the 2nd "half" as close to half the points as possible :P

I am extremely excited for the upcoming season of TGL! I hope the community will hop on board and help me bring more and more to the scene, all I can do is set this up and its up to you guys to sign up and compete!
I think it is important to be realistic on what TGL is aiming for right now, I realize I cannot just walk in and think that my league is equal to CEVO or ESEA, Im not naive. I do however believe that TGL can be the perfect home for teams just starting out and in the mid- and below spectrum. There are no prizes to announce yet but believe me Im in discussions with several sponsors about getting a little something something and talks of a new and expansive website are churning as well. With the support and number of teams signed up I can promise my full attention and support to grow this league with plans I already have in mind and planned out, community willing.
