This week's map for ESEA is good ol' CP_Badlands... More like RAD-Lands! ... Sorry, anyways, this map is well-known and loved by all TF2ers far and wide. For many teams and fans its going to be a welcome return to familiar territory. It also marks the turning point of the season, we are past the new maps and back to the favorites. There are only 3 more weeks of matches after this with Yukon, Gravel Pit, and Granary being the remaining maps.

Last week's patches disrupted ESEA's client and thus scheduled matches, so there will probably be a bunch of rescheduled matches played on top of the matches listed below.

There were some interesting results last week, one of the most surprising being Dynamic beating Complexity 5-3 on Freight. While Dynamic's only win going into the match was a forfeit win over MoB, they were strengthened by the presence of two members of the former MoB gaming squad, Grillz and Davis. With Grillz on Medic and Davis Soldiering, Dynamic were able to stand strong against Complexity. The match was very back and forth, with Dynamic taking middle most rounds and slowly working back and forth against a determined defense. It was the second loss for Complexity this season, who after beating EG on Turbine lost to them on CP_Freight.

Week 5:1 - Monday

Loaded vs Pandemic

While Loaded has been playing strong lately, they've also had some bad matches. They didn't play any ESEA-I matches last week, so its tough to say what kind of form they are in. Pandemic on the other hand is working hard to ensure they get that top four spot. Loaded already lost once to Pandemic this year, and I don't see this map being any different.  Pandemic 5-2.

coL vs. Dynamic

In the match between the two on Freight, it's easy to say Complexity looked a little out of their element. They played well, but not up to Complexity standards. The only thing Complexity needs to worry about coming out of that match is whether they're going to have to play Freight in the playoffs. While Complexity's scouts looked mediocre at times on Freight, you can be assured they won't on Badlands. With confidence from their last match together, and their new additions Dynamic will undoubtedly fight to the last inch, but it won't be enough. Complexity 5-2.

EG vs i7

EG have had a couple of slip ups lately. They lost 5-1 in Alienware to Blight, lost to Loaded on Follower, and lost 16-13 to Complexity on Turbine. After losing on Turbine however, they came back and beat Complexity 5-0 on Freight. They are currently at the top of the league at 7-2. Immortal7 on the other hand is still in the basement of the league standings, only above Dynamic. Hopefully i7 can keep building as a team and start putting some results up cause they are almost out of time. I think they'll put in a strong performance although the score line won't reflect it. EG 5-1.

Week 5:2 - Wednesday

Pandemic vs i7

Immortal 7 is again the underdog in this matchup, but they might have more of a chance against Pandemic than EG. I have been real impressed with TLRs work this season, and TheFragile has performed excellently besides a few small slip ups. i7 might have the scout advantage, very important to Badlands, and if they can get Bloodsire working his sniper skills they could pull off the upset. Smart money is on Pandemic however, Pandemic 5-3.

EG vs Blight

Blight was highly favored to be making the playoffs at the beginning of the season, but that spot isn't looking as assured as once thought. Under the 20ID tag this team was unstoppable, but a lot has changed since then. While they have plenty of strength among their main classes, its yet to be seen if Grieve and TheNoid are working well with the rest of the team. While Badlands is familiar turf, look for EG to avenge their lose in Alienware, EG 5-3.

coL vs. Loaded

Loaded's scouts can't match Enigma and Carnage. Complexity's scouts will work Loaded from the side, back cap, and just generally cause trouble. I don't think Loaded has shown enough oomph to be able to upset Complexity on Badlands even with Complexity having had some slip ups this season... Complexity 5-1.
