Quack, Quack, SMACK!
Muscle Milk and Moolians, the hottest Frag Video to hit North America TF2 since Reptile: The Movie. Unable to afford to go to ESEA-Invite LAN to put up another amazing performance against current heavy-hitters, compLexity.TF2. One of the most insane demos in the game, soldiers who both are good in their respective ways, two of the most underrated scouts in TF2, and a solid medic to round it out. Not the kind of reputation of an 0-5 team clinging for life at the bottom of ESEA-Invite, is it?
Why is the hottest team from last season basically about to be put back into ESEA-open? Fastfire and Stamjally.
Your pocket soldier is your flow. He is the meat and potatoes to the casserole. He is the Peyton to the colts. Unless you have a pocket soldier who is constantly around and always evolving his game you are going to drift away with the current. This claim is not unfounded, there are many rumblings in the community about 51 and their need for a more "active" soldier; especially versus teams like eMg, AG, and NeXus who are all planning to make a statement this season.
Stamjally. I doubt any of you have ever watched a pov demo of the man. I doubt it. Maybe one of you. Probably the one person who will agree with me. Stamjally was a beast last season. His movement makes everyone and their mother miss, and when he include his above average aim, you have a killer. Too many people make the mistake of seeing scouts as just clean-up players and items to "scout" areas out. Stamjally played like Enigma. Making soldiers miss left and right allowing for Ducky and Cbear to lay down the damage. Stam has now been replaced by DL. A pugstar. Sure he can spy really well..... in pugs. But he is nowhere near as effective as Stamjally.
When I Grow I Want To Be Like FROD!
You should have cut Reptile when you had the chance. Most prolific player in TF2 history? You know it. Worth molding a team around today? Not a chance. You have to view this team in two ways. As the team that EG supports and as a team alone. EG and coL have had a constant battle for what seems like ever when it comes to eSports gaming in North America. So it goes without saying that an 0-4 team is not what the doctor ordered. Sure they will start "trying" again and will use their limitless amount of experience to beat most teams this season. But I predict them finishing either 4th or 5th.
Where does the problem lie. OMG CYZER SUCKS, no, he does not suck. OMG I WANT TO SEE REPTILE AIR ROCKETS, no, no you do not. DESTRO IS ALL WASHED UP. He is still one of the best demo's in all of North America TF2. The problem is with the soldier boeys.
pheLon and Yaug
Phelon. I watched him from STV during the LAN playoffs and the man was literally the best player on EG. Killed everything in his path. When he had buffs. The man lacks when he is forced to play out of comfort zone - that nice 250. You cannot asking a chef to go wait on tables. It just does not work.
Yaug. A top soldier. Well, kind of. If you talk to high level players they will tell you Yaug is bad. If you talk to mid level players, they will say he is the hottest thing next to Miley Cyrus' groin area from Party in the U.S.A. The man is neither. He relies on a low sensitivity and will almost never leave his medic to chase someone down.
So you have two really experienced, highly accurate soldiers... A DREAM PAIR!!? Nope. There needs to be a comfortable balance between high aggression and medic support. EG will go nowhere unless Casey can find a way to heal Yaug less and set pheLon on an aggressive killing frenzy.
By Reptile demanding changes and eventually landing on sycknss' scout spot, (a position where he is no better than sycknss) EG is now stuck with a stagnant combo that wont ever be bailed out by a subpar scout combination. The game is evolving every season and it seems that this team EG is stuck in season 2.
NeXus Gaming - Season 6 ESEA-Invite Champions
Yup. You heard it here first. NeXus will win this season….well, maybe. Winless until this week expect NeXus to pull up their bootstraps and start shooting to the top of the standings. The team has beasts.
BigPun, hitting his stride last season, now looking like one of the most dominant scouts in all of TF2. Paladin has and always will be one of the most destructive dmr's in TF2 whether on Scout or Soldier. These two alone will command this team to the promised land.
Beat Blight TF2? Beat compLexity? You are an idiot SentrySTRAT.
Every team in this league has its weakness. If you really think that either of those team are ultimately unbeatable then go eat some rotting chinese food because both teams are bound to lose. coL barely makes it by every season. Sure, they have not lost a finals in a long time but it is not without any luck. Blight also looks unstoppable this season with Ruwin commanding the ship but I assure you: BigPun will counter Carnage/Ruwin and Paladin will go toe-for-toe with Relic/TLR.
NeXus is the darkhorse in this league and I, I mean we, see them riding into the 1700 dollar promised land.

Never lost a finals.
look at, for example, pandemic- TLR gets the most heals, has a consistently ridiculous ratio, and protects the medic with sweet airshots, while ww is a sneaky motherfucker who kills everyone from behind and leaves the game with a (often) poor ratio but a feeling of accomplishment.
same with coL, eMg, and perhaps AG, to an extent
also, if there's one player I think really is washed up, I'd say it's hong- the dude used to be beastly, but he just hasn't been making it happen the last two seasons (aside from some really good shotgun work)
him and hell were the silver lining to the failure that was Loaded last year, both are really good
stamjally is the third best scout in invite, probably (without including ruwin since coL/pandemic has yet to happen)
I've noticed that paladin is a beast at scout-on-scout fights, but not so good at picking the medic at scout
Does anyone have any links to demos or videos?
though i have to say i disagreed with your thoughts on nxs, at least it's something different.
ruwin already shit on punisher and co. on gpit, and he pretty much shit on emg…you know, the team that 4-0'd nexus?
i will say that nxs is improving and has a decent shot at making lan.
