CommFT Highlander Strategy Series: Death Marked Soldiers

Ladies and gents, Highlander!

That get your blood pumping?  Did it move you out of your chair, twist you up, send you screaming down the block in nothing but Bermuda shorts and butter?  No?  Fear not.  I have the medicine.

Let's get into another edition of the Highlander Strategy Series, this time with Sylon from Death Marked Soldiers.  DMS kicked my team into the lower bracket early in the tournament, but they're very polite chaps and it was more of a gentlemanly shove.  Oh, good day, sir.  It appears we are in the midst of a Fortressy Teamed match.  Do get off my control point!

And off we went to the lower bracket, tipping our hats.  So, without further ado, let's get into it!

Team Name

Death Marked Soldiers.

How did you prepare for this particular CommFT HL Tourney Match?

Went over some strategy before the match, try and scrim when we can but it's not often.

What were the strategies you used during the match? Did they work? Did you have to make changes on the fly?

Had a pretty long strat for granary here that ended up not working so well lol

If you could change anything about the strategy you used during the match, what would it be?

Use better call's towards some more key moments in the match.

What will you do differently to prepare for upcoming matches?

Hopefully scrim more.

Have you learned anything specifically about Highlander strategy while playing in this tournament?

No, I've played Highlander for a long time.

What class is the most difficult to use or coordinate in Highlander? Why?

I don't find any of the classes hard to coordinate, it's up to the player skills but it seems like Scouts coming from 6v6 have a harder time without the Scout buddy and different map types.

Sylon's a man of few words.  Actually, I'm not sure he's a man.  I think he may be a stabby cyborg, a knifing machine.  I suspect he plays hooked up to gas-powered generators, robo-digits mashing the keys, flicking from disguise to disguise, from knife to revolver, endlessly hunting, waiting, spying.  And when the time is right and ripe, he appears, a flicker from the corner of the eye, and in the goes the knife.  A backstab!  At his desk, Stabby Sylon Cyborg Machineman grins.  His teeth are chrome-plated, shiny like mirrors.  A drop of oil, a lone robot tear, glides down his ventilated cheek.  YEZZZ, he audibles.  ROBOT KNOWS LOVE.

Want to be part of the Highlander Strategy Series?  If you've won a single match in the upper or lower bracket, send me a PM on the forums and I'll send you the questions!
