CommunityFortress.com is a fansite for Team Fortress 2, the class-based FPS developed by Valve. We provide coverage of competitive leagues and tournaments with a focus on personal interviews with the best in the North American TF2 community. In addition to our coverage, we host TF2 forums geared for the competitive player, a competitive TF2 wiki, and have community writers contributing TF2 predictions. We hope you'll find a home at CommunityFortress.com and be sure to register with an account to post on our forums.
If you run a company whose target audience is competitive gamers, CommunityFortress.com offers paid advertising space rented on a monthly basis. In addition, the site is always looking for event sponsors and companies to provide products for giveaways. Contact Ben with all advertising or affiliation requests.
Management
Graham aka jinn_ is the Community Manager for CommFT. He is responsible for management activities in the following areas: personnel acquisition, event coverage, wiki development, forums growth, partnerships, sponsorships, and outreach programs. He also writes articles on a wide variety of competitive TF2 topics when his time permits. Graham has been a TF2 official with CEVO since September of 2007 and was promoted to Head of Game for TF2 in August of 2009.
Ben aka shootdope is the Chief Engineer for CommFT. His primary duties involve maintenance of the software and systems that power the website. He also handles advertising requests and affiliation inquiries.
Fzero is the Head of the TF2 Mentor Program at CommFT. The TF2 Mentor Program is a program set up to help bridge the skill gap for players new to competitive TF2. One of the main problems with getting into competitive play is how different it is compared to public play, so the mentor program has been set up to help ease the transition. The community should not be divided between seasoned players and newer ones, so the program is made to help the community grow, thrive, and live within a positive atmosphere - rather than look down on players new to the community.
550 is the Head of #tf2.pug and #tf2.pug.na at CommFT. #tf2.pug is an IRC channel on the Gamesurge.net network that gives TF2 players a place to play pick-up-games with their fellow players. 550's name on IRC is Cinq-Cinq.
MMZ>eXtine is the Head of Special Media Coverage at CommFT. He runs the CommFT YouTube channel and focuses on the seasons and tournaments hosted by ESEA and CEVO; he holds a role similar to that of djfivenine except with ESEA and CEVO rather than TWL.
Hawkeye is the Head of Servers at CommFT. He runs the CommFT public servers.
Kuiper is the Head Blog Writer for CommFT. He writes articles on the current state of competitive TF2. He is famous for his 17 page blog post in July of 2009 that critiqued the maps, gameplay mechanics, game modes, and much more. Kuiper also contributes to the wiki and is a member of the CommFT Map Testing Team.
